Yes, it has been nearly SIX MONTHS since I have blogged and my SIL, Katie, has been urging me to continue or, at least, add one more post instead of ending with "Baby Brother Blues". So, here I am , updating my blog after 6 months of NO activity. Life has been busy!
Ewan is such a sweet little boy, who is driving his parents nuts with his insistence on not napping, hence causing him to lose quite a bit of his sweetness due to exhaustion. The positive side is that he goes to bed at 6 pm on the days that he doesn't nap!!! Ewan is obsessed with the outdoors and catching a snake, much to his father's delight and his mother's chagrin! He will pick up any bug, reptile or other such creature with no fear whatsoever. He adores his daddy and asks him on a daily basis to take him fishing, which usually consists of exploring a local creek and catching all types of creatures. We start swimming lessons next week and preschool in the fall!!!!! Unbelievable, how quickly time goes by. Ewan is a great big brother and often tells me that he and Liam are "best friends"!!! he is also in the "why" phase of life and literally does NOT stop talking and asking questions!!! Every morning, he wakes and asks, "is daddy home?" and gets sooooo excited when I yes!! (usually only the weekends as Denny leaves before the boys are up)
Liam is now walking all over and talking!! He says, "ba"-ball, "bo"-book, "mama", "dada" "sh-sh"-shake shake, "na-na"-no, "kitty kitty", "tub-tub" and babbles like crazy!! He adores his big brother and they often have shouting matches at mealtimes to see who can yell the loudest! Liam is a great eater and sleeper and still takes 2 naps/day. He loves music, balls and Biscuit (our cat) and is very good at being gentle with Biscuit. He is quite curious and is beginning to hear the word "no" much more frequently :)!
All in all, life is great and our boys bring us such joy. We are grateful to be so blessed!
