Mr. Clean
Ewan has an obsession with the vacuum that is quite funny- I think he got this from his father as vacuuming is the last I want to be doing on any given day. Well, a couple days ago, he figured out how to get the canister that holds all the dirt unlocked. I walked into the living room to determine what my sweet little boy was so upset about and came upon quite the mess. I started laughing, however, Ewan was not too happy about the mess. I wonder if this propensity for cleanliness will continue into his teen years? I should only be so lucky! :)

Giggles and ketchup
Remember when the sound of the "almost empty ketchup bottle squirt" made you laugh so hard you could barely breathe?

A morning at Cabela's
Cabela's? Huh? Actually, Cabela's is a really fun place to go, especially with kids . . . if you're into the outdoors. There is a huge aquarium, a mountain of wild animals (if you don't mind the stuffed variety), a safari (with lions and tigers and bears OH MY!) and a stream going through the store with trout! (It is also a great place to take the hubby!) Ewan had a blast and of course, we had to finish off the morning with a trip to Cracker Barrel for lunch- YUM!!!

Not the best picture- he LOVED the aquarium and is now quite proficient at the baby sign for fish!

Climbing
Ewan tends to be a very cautious little boy- which is nice for his mama as I don't worry too much about him trying new and wild things. However, the other day, he decided that he was ready to start attempting to climb into and onto furniture. I walked out of the living room for a minute to get something in the kitchen and when I came back, this is what I found:
Look at me ma!!!

Ewan's own little special "seat"!
Ewan has also recently discovered how to open his bedroom door. Yesterday, he shut his door and usually tears quickly follow, so I proceeded to open it for him and there he was, grinning and laughing, and trying to keep me from entering his room!!! He then shut his door and played in his room for 5-10 minutes by himself while I listened outside his door! I was just beginning to wonder when he might realize that he was "stuck" in his room when the doorknob began to rattle and lo and behold, he opened the door ALL BY HIMSELF and stood there looking at me with the biggest grin!!! So proud of himself!!!! Thankfully, the door does not lock!

From little munchkin to a not so happy Yoda
So, this Halloween was quite different from last year. We had a tiny little baby boy and now that baby boy has become a busy toddler! Ewan was quite content to wear whatever his mama put him in this time last year- this year, not so much!!! The Yoda costume was probably worn for as long as 10 minutes at a time and then HAD to come off! So, of course, as soon as someone came to visit- back on it went- and we had quite the perplexed little Yoda!!!!
