Play
Ewan and I went to the park last week on a beautiful day and Ewan had a blast!!! He has taken to running and LOVES wide, open spaces where he can just run run run! There was also a playground (he cannot seem to get enough of these!) that had dinosaurs- heaven for an almost 2 year old little boy!!!

Easter
Dyeing eggs and egg hunts were so much fun this year!! Ewan LOVES Easter eggs and continues to play with the empty eggs on a daily basis! And, thanks to great advice from Aunt Jen, Ewan took to eating hard boiled eggs for a couple days after he dyed them!! Hmmmm. . . maybe we should dye eggs every week?!! :)
Pure excitement as we get ready to dye our eggs!

In Christ Alone
"In Christ Alone"Words and Music by Keith Getty & Stuart TownendCopyright © 2001 Kingsway Thankyou Music
In Christ alone my hope is found; He is my light, my strength, my song; This cornerstone, this solid ground,Firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace,When fears are stilled, when strivings cease! My comforter, my all in all—Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,Fullness of God in helpless babe! This gift of love and righteousness,Scorned by the ones He came to save.Till on that cross as Jesus died,The wrath of God was satisfied; For ev'ry sin on Him was laid—Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay,Light of the world by darkness slain; Then bursting forth in glorious day,Up from the grave He rose again! And as He stands in victory,Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;For I am His and He is mine—Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
No guilt in life, no fear in death—This is the pow'r of Christ in me;From life's first cry to final breath,Jesus commands my destiny. No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man,Can ever pluck me from His hand;Till He returns or calls me home—Here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand.

Big Boy
Given that I have an incredibly picky eater, seeing Ewan simply pick up a pear and start chowing down on it was quite remarkable! Meals have been a struggle with Ewan for quite some time now, so eating a pear like a "big boy" was pretty awesome. We continue to struggle through getting our little guy to eat- and to eat reasonably "healthy" foods (again, the child has not knowingly touched a vegetable since sometime around 15-16 months--now, we sneak vegetable purees into his foods as best as we can). Hence, the picture of the little guy eating a pear like a big kid!!!
P.S. Yes, Stephen, I am blaming you for his picky eating. . . :)!!! Some things never change . . . :)!!

Creativity
Ewan loves his trucks and cannot get enough of them. And I cannot get enough of watching him use his imagination when he plays. . .a while ago, he started looking for something very specific and I couldn't figure out what he wanted. The light bulb went on in his little head and he ran into the kitchen and pulled out my cooling racks- huh? He then ran into the living room with the cooling racks and a look of pure excitement on his face as he began to set them up as ramps for his trucks! He was absolutely overjoyed with his discovery and had loads of fun pushing his trucks up and down his ramps. It was such a delight to watch!!!
