Family

Liam got to meet his Great Grandma Grace and snuggle with Aunt Jen a few weeks back and I just loved the pictures. Ewan also got to see Great Grandma Grace and he seems to have a special place in his heart for her. Ewan is usually quite shy and tentative with most people at first and then he warms up after some time. With people he doesn't see very often he may not interact with them at all due to shyness, but with Great Grandma Grace (whom he has only seen a couple times) he warms up quite quickly!! It is so sweet to see him eat snack with her or just hang out on her lap!

She hates getting her picture taken, so I am sure she will be thrilled to hear she is on the web! :)Ewan and Great Grandma Grace deep in conversationSweet Liam and Aunt Jen!

Craziness

Things have been quite crazy in our household as of late. . . Ewan had the stomach flu, followed by Liam giving us quite a scare. Basically, Liam spit up, began choking and subsequently started to turn blue . . . after a frantic 911 call at 7 in the morning, Liam and I made our way to the hospital via ambulance- thankfully, Liam was screaming the entire way. My wonderful neighbor, sister-in-law and mother-in-law and sweet husband watched Ewan while we spent a night in the hospital. An 18 hour test was required for sweet little Liam and he was found to have apnea and reflux- so we were discharged home with an apnea monitor and a couple meds. Needless to say, we are happy to be home and thankful that Liam is just fine. He will outgrow both the apnea and reflux which we are looking forward to. The monitor is a blessing as well as it gives us peace of mind when he is sleeping, even though it is quite an inconvenience for now. . . but a worthwhile inconvenience! Once we came back home and things settled down, Ewan got a nasty cold and we are desperately trying to avoid the pediatrician's office as he seems to pick up a new bug every time we are there!

Sweet Liam all hooked up and ready to go

Ewan was glad to have both his baby brother and mommy home

He just cracks me up. . .

Ewan loves to dance and it often turns into a run due to his excitement- I couldn't resist getting some video of the little guy a couple weeks ago. . .

Mom-mom & pop-pop's house is loads of fun for an almost 2 year old little boy . . .two sweet dogs, tractors, trucks, lots of grass to run in . . .what more could a little boy want?!

Waiting for pop-pop to arrive with the "big green tractor" Still waiting. . .

Maybe I'll just stand on it here with pop-pop (and a miniature green tractor in my hand!!)

Playing at the park baseball field

Ewan loves going to the park and still enjoys riding in the stroller (thank goodness, since we just bought the mammoth double stroller!!) He has recently taken to playing "baseball"- anything that involves throwing or kicking a ball he has decided is baseball- it is so cute!! So, since our local park has multiple baseball fields, we often go for a walk and "play baseball" so Ewan can burn off some energy and enjoy time outdoors!

Ewan and Liam ready for our walk in the new double stroller- I love it!!

"I jump!!"I love this pic- pure joy all over Ewan's face!

Cupcakes and 1st bath

Our church family has been providing us with lovely meals since having Liam and Ewan simply adores all the desserts that have been coming our way!!! He wasn't quite sure how to manage the large cupcake (courtesy of Becki R- yum yum!!) that was placed before him, so he just dove right in, head first, of course!!! He thoroughly enjoyed every second of that cupcake and has since taken to asking for cupcakes daily!! Ewan has really turned the corner with his eating habits- his repertoire of foods is increasing as he is slowly becoming more open to trying new foods- veggies are still quite the challenge- although "ants on a log" are starting to appeal to him!!

Hmmm. . .how do I eat this?

This seems like a good way to start. . .YUMMY!!!!!

Liam has graduated from sponge bathing to real baths and I had to get some pics of him sleeping through his first bath!!! The warm water is quite calming for him - if he happens to be crying (which doesn't happen too often!) right before tub time, he almost instantaneously stops once his little body is submerged in the warm water!!!
