Climbing

Ewan tends to be a very cautious little boy- which is nice for his mama as I don't worry too much about him trying new and wild things. However, the other day, he decided that he was ready to start attempting to climb into and onto furniture. I walked out of the living room for a minute to get something in the kitchen and when I came back, this is what I found:

Yesterday, he shut his door and usually tears quickly follow, so I proceeded to open it for him and there he was, grinning and laughing, and trying to keep me from entering his room!!! He then shut his door and played in his room for 5-10 minutes by himself while I listened outside his door! I was just beginning to wonder when he might realize that he was "stuck" in his room when the doorknob began to rattle and lo and behold, he opened the door ALL BY HIMSELF and stood there looking at me with the biggest grin!!! So proud of himself!!!! Thankfully, the door does not lock!
